Adult Hockey At RecPlex

Ankle Breakers

Ankle Breakers is a beginner adult program open to anyone that has an interest in playing organized hockey...even unorganized for that matter. Our group currently consists of about 30-40 skaters (roughly 20 show up per week) of fairly diverse skating ability. The majority of the skaters just recently started playing hockey, but may have had prior skating experience.

Rookie League

Practice your skills at our Ankle Breakers class on Monday nights and use what you learned in a game setting on Friday nights.

The games in the Friday Night Rookie League will be officiated by one referee.  The Friday Night Rookie League is designed specifically for adult beginner level skaters who have little to no experience on the ice or with the game of hockey.

Friday Night Hockey League

Each week, we send out an email and the first 20 skaters and 2 goalies to respond will be added to the roster.  All skaters must be 18 or older to participate.  Typical five on five format.  A single referee will be present to officiate the game.  All penalties will result in a penalty shot for the opposing team.

Sunday Night Hockey League

The Sunday Night Hockey League aims to provide a competitive, enjoyable and safe game of hockey at a consistent time each week throughout the year. The program will permit you to relish those Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons with the family (and then sneak out Sunday night to hang with the guys).

Old Geezers Hockey

The purpose of the Old Geezers is to provide an enjoyable and safe game of hockey for older players (age 35+). Our program will allow you to work on those long forgotten moves that you had in you (or tried to have in you). Lastly, Old Geezers permits you to wake up the next morning without having to bandage those bruises from the night before.
